Volunteer!

Now that we have 7 off-leash areas (OLAs), we need to ensure they're successful. What can you do to help? Volunteer! There are volunteers for each OLA, and DogPAC and Bend Park and Recreation District welcome more. The commitment is flexible, and this is a chance to "give back" while you're already at the OLAs.  Contact Kim Johnson at Parks and Rec for more info.

The ONE place it makes sense for your dog to be off-leash at Awbrey Res. site is now a mandatory LEASED area. This does NOT make sense to me or any of the other dog walkers in the park. The ENTIRE park should be designated off-leash in order to be labled an OLA on your sites. Most people never wanted an official "park" to be established at this site anyways.. sometimes just leaving things alone is best. AND it would save you all a ton of money in the process.
